Battletech is a turn-based strategy board game where players assume the role of a mercenary commander leading a “mech lance” or a group of giant humanoid-shaped combat vehicles. The heart of the game is the “BattleMech” (aka Mech), a giant fighting robot; typical games have each player controlling from 1-4 Mechs. The maps are divided into hexagonal grids with figurines representing players’ military units. Six-sided dice determine variable results, such as whether a shot strikes its target and the location it hits. Each mech unit utilizes an information sheet, which details include its armament, armor, and equipment; they are also used to track damage, heat buildup, ammunition, and various other data. Mechs vary greatly by mobility and firepower, and players can choose from provided designs or take the time to create their own from scratch.
Our Battletech group is currently open and accepting new players, new and experienced. Everything needed will be provided but feel free to bring your own D6s or personal mech designs! For more information, feel free to contact us!
